CMIL is a member of the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.

CMIL has a cooperation agreement with the Fundação INATEL. Under this agreement all beneficiaries of INATEL are offered a discount of 10% on medical consultation fees.

History

CMIL was founded in January 1994. Its aim was to create a unique, multi-specialist international medical centre in Lisbon, bringing together some of the most experienced and well-known Doctors and Surgeons, in order to provide the very best in private health care.

The initial group of doctors continue to represent the core medical team, but CMIL has expanded to include other specialists.

With the growth of CMIL in size and reputation, a second centre was opened in Cascais in 1997. Cascais is a major residential area for the Portuguese and expatriate communities of greater Lisbon, and a significant tourist centre. This clinic, now call CISC, became independent of CMIL in 2003, though CMIL retains an association with it.
